Day by day

  1. Day 1

    Marrakech – Casablanca – Rabat

Depart Marrakech in your private vehicle and travel north towards Casablanca, Morocco’s largest city. Visit the impressive Hassan II Mosque, set beside the Atlantic Ocean, and admire its detailed craftsmanship and monumental minaret. Access to the interior is subject to the mosque’s visiting schedule and tour arrangements.

Continue to Rabat, Morocco’s capital. Explore the Kasbah of the Udayas, with its whitewashed buildings, blue-painted lanes and views over the Bou Regreg estuary. Depending on available time, visit other key landmarks such as Hassan Tower and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V.

Spend the evening in Rabat, with time to enjoy the city’s atmosphere before the next day’s journey inland.

  2. Day 2

    Rabat – Meknes – Volubilis – Fes

After breakfast, travel towards Meknes, one of Morocco’s historic imperial cities. Discover the monumental Bab Mansour gate, Place el-Hedim and the surrounding historic district. If time and opening arrangements permit, visit additional sites associated with Sultan Moulay Ismail’s imperial city.

Continue to Volubilis, an important archaeological site preserving the remains of a Roman-era settlement. Walk among its columns, arches, public buildings and celebrated floor mosaics while discovering the history of Roman presence in North Africa.

After the visit, continue to Fes and settle into your accommodation for the evening.

  3. Day 3

    Full-Day Cultural Discovery of Fes

Spend a full day discovering Fes, one of Morocco’s most remarkable historic cities. With a local guide, if included or arranged, explore the winding lanes of Fes el-Bali, where traditional workshops, small markets and centuries-old buildings reveal the city’s cultural heritage.

Visit the historic Bou Inania Madrasa from the permitted visitor areas, admire traditional Moroccan craftsmanship, and discover the artisan quarters and lively souks. Depending on opening times and access, your visit may also include the famous tanneries, the Mellah or panoramic viewpoints overlooking the medina.

Take time to enjoy a traditional Moroccan lunch and browse local crafts before returning to your riad or hotel. The day is designed to provide a deeper experience of Fes rather than a quick sightseeing stop.

  4. Day 4

Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forests of Azrou – Marrakech

Leave Fes and head south through the Middle Atlas Mountains, where the landscape shifts from historic urban scenery to forests, mountain towns and open highlands.

Stop in Ifrane, known for its distinctive architecture and landscaped streets, before continuing towards the cedar forests around Azrou. Enjoy a walk or a short stop among the trees, and look out for Barbary macaques, which inhabit parts of this region. Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed.

Continue through the Middle Atlas towards Marrakech, arriving in the evening. You can also end the tour in Fes.
